36 weeks and counting

I’m finally on the homeward stretch and I cannot wait to meet my little man.  Having said that I am very much enjoying this quiet time now that work is done and Christmas is over.  I’m certainly nesting and have cleaned and organised the baby’s room almost completely.  My hospital bag is as packed as it can be.  I do a little housework, I have a rest on the couch…I do a little more housework, I have a nap…it’s a pretty good life.  I am well aware that things will not be this easy soon enough.

The cats seem to be enjoying having me at home.  They are spending most of the day curled up on the couch beside me.  Sometimes on top of me and right in my way.  It’s cute though.  They’ve got big changes ahead too.

Hopefully life continues on this peacefully for the next 4 weeks.  My blood pressure is starting to creep up so we’re keeping an eye on that.  My gestational diabetes is under control.  It is a relief to know that if things start to go wrong at this point then we can get him out early without too much trouble.  Hopefully we can keep him in there growing healthily and happily for at least another couple of weeks though.

Time now for some trashy daytime TV!

Here I am!

After a very lengthy blog absence I decided it was about time I got back into it again.  And you know what they say – a change is as good as a holiday!  I’ve moved from Blogger to WordPress so I can start again, in a sense.  I don’t know why this was so important to be.  Maybe because so much of my life is changing at the moment that it seemed right that I start afresh in a new space.

Anyway, I’m hoping people will find me here eventually.  For those that don’t know me  my name is Jodie and I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant with my first baby (a boy!).  I’m very excited about this next phase in my life and am hoping to share the joys and challenges of that journey here.

I’m also an avid crafter (perhaps that should be in the past tense.  This pregnancy seems to have drained my crafting mojo!) and love the helpful and friendly crafty blogging world.  Perhaps I’ll get sewing again once Christmas is over and my maternity leave begins.

It’s lovely to meet you!

Nice to see you again!

Here’s hoping this blogging adventure is a happy and long one!
